I've decided to give the site a completely new look - so here it
is! What do you think? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Andy's Mk1 1300 XL (or perhaps that's XXL now ) - Zakspeed replica
Body:
Glass
fibre bonnet and boot, one piece custom made Zakspeed front wings and rear Zakspeed arches, enlarged
& strengthened box section tunnel and gearbox housing, cut
back and braced bulkhead, box section inner wings (heavy gauge
steel), fabricated slam panel, alloy firewall, all lines through the car, Capri tank,
solid extra guage steel chassis and flat floor pans, all underside
is seam welded, solid and rust free.
Engine:
Fitted with 3.5 Rover V8 Engine - 9.35:1 running a Piper 285 Cam, duplex timing chains, all new internals. Edelbrock 500 CFM four barrel on an Offenhouser inlet manifold,
John Eales Development baffled and trapdoor'd sump, Carter fuel pump (fitted in boot), Racemettle hi-torque starter, Varley Red Top race battery, Marine fire retardant fuel hose throughout, Lumenition optronic ignition system, twin 4 to 1 stainless tubular manifolds to straight stainless pipes with
Custom Chrome directional race cans - sounds fantastic.
Transmission:
Rover 5 speed manual box, custom made uprated clutch, lightened and balanced flywheel, braided hoses. 1 piece prop,
Fostek atlas axle with two piece billet shafts and modified side gears to accommodate the larger shafts.
Suspension:
Front: Bilstein 2.8 Capri shocks. double width and anti-dive kit.
Rear: Turreted coilover shocks, 5 linked
Brakes:
Front: Caprisport GTR 260 Kit
Rear: 9" Capri drums
Braided hoses all round.
Wheels
and Tyres:
Front: 9 x 16 Compomotive CX600-4 split rims fitted with 225/40R16 Toyo Proxes
Rear: 10 x 16 Compomotive CX600-4 split rims fitted with 245/35R16 Toyo Proxes
Interior:
Stripped
out, Corbeau Forza racing seats,
Schroth 3" 6 point racing harness ( Porsche GT3 Cup spec) drivers side and 4 point passenger side, custom centre console housing Auto Meter gauges for oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and Moroso switchgear, full welded in roll cage. Terratrip intercom and headsets.

The car's just been in for a much needed and long overdure full re-wire so when it was done I asked Alan (www.stocktonautocentre.com) to take it round the block to make sure all was well (and to catch it on camera - sounds well in a built up area ).
